Abstract: In this lecture, I present three stories wrapped up together: the story of a project, a building, and a publication. The project is the University of Michigan/University of Minnesota Excavations at Tel Kedesh, Israel, which was in the field from 1997-2012. The building is a single, enormous compound that we call the PHAB, for Persian-Hellenistic Administrative Building.
